DIY Gel Nails

Hi guys! Since I did my nails today (Saturday), I figured now was the perfect time to do a post on how I do my nails! I follow the instructions I found on Hairspray & Highheels (which is where I got the picture of the instructions) and haven't done a manicure without following them ever since I found them! I purchased the Out The Door top coat and the Gelous Advanced Nail Gel Coat from Sally Beauty Supply, and got them a little cheaper than the normal price because I used my rewards card-it is $10 a year, but completely worth it if you go frequently. I am going to do a separate post later in the week with daily pictures, so be on the lookout for that! And not saying that you have to do this step, but the day after I do my nails I like to add one more coat of polish and one more coat of Gelous on top, and it usually makes my manicure last a little bit longer than normal. Enough rambling, now on to the instructions! :)

For this manicure, I'm using Sally Hansen's Heart of Stone polish, which is a light pink color and NYC's Pink Champagne on top which is a sheer glittery pink. I'm gonna finish watching my Georgia Bulldogs beat some war eagle tail, so I'll talk to you guys later!

I'm Back....AGAIN!

So.....let's just say that junior year has been kicking by butt. Between honors and AP classes and being yearbook editor, what little free time I have is spent trying to somewhat relax. And not to mention that I only have 4 weeks left in this semester and am trying to get my grades up to A's so I can exempt exams-typical high school problems. I have a few posts planned out fot this weekend, so be on the lookout for posts about my DIY Gel Nails and my Makeup Collection and Storage. I'm *hoping* to get a camera for Christmas, and maybe start filming videos to put on YouTube! Check back this weekend for new stuff!

Where Have I Been + LOTS of Reviews

Hi guys! I know it's been a loooong time since I posted, but I got a new laptop for Christmas since my other one had a bad battery AND the fans were broken. So, it was kind of hard to post without a good running computer. But, I'm back and ready to get this blog up and running!

I got a lot of gift cards for my birthday, so I've been doing some shopping lately. I'm going to do a post about my most used/favorite beauty products soon, but I want it to be perfect so I'm taking a long time to work on it. So on to the reviews....

Victoria's Secret

I am new to shopping at Victoria's Secret, but now I see why everyone loves it! I bought 5 pairs of the seamless panties with the 5/$26.50 special, and received one of the Secret Rewards cards. Mine was worth $10, so I went back today and bought 5 more pairs and only paid $16.50 before tax. Not a bad deal!

Sally's Beauty Supply/ULTA(Part 1)

I went to Sally's to use my $5 off coupon from my rewards card, and bought The Wet Brush kit. It comes with the original one and the newer Hot Brush. I also went to ULTA afterwards and saw that they made one meant to be used in the shower, so I bought it as well. The kit was $13.99 with the rewards card, and the shower one was $5.99 but I can't remember how much I really paid for it because I used the 20% off coupon that came in the mail a week or so ago. (and sorry for the pictures not being rotated, I'm still trying to figure this blogger thing out)

ULTA

First thing is the Batiste Dry Shampoo sampler. It comes with three different scents, and I'm looking forward to trying them out!
I have a few more products that that I'm not going to put pictures of just because I can't figure out how to rotate.

Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 Foundation
I've been using this for a few weeks now, and it is by far my favorite drugstore foundation. It has medium coverage, so for heavier coverage you can layer it if needed. It also has built in concealer and primer, but I still use concealer under it.

Covergirl Bombshell Volume by Lashblast Mascara
This is another one of my favorite drugstore mascaras next to the Rocket by Maybelline.

Rimmel London Stay Matte Long Lasting Pressed Powder
This is my favorite drugstore powder. I'm not a big fan of loose powder, and this is the perfect size and shape to fit in an everyday makeup bag.

Hard Candy Single & Loving It (774 Sandy Beach)
This is just a single eyeshadow but I love how you can create lots of different looks with it.

OPI Glitter Off Natural Nail Base Coat
This is an absolute must have if you use Glitter polish. It is easy to take off without nail polish remover and doesn't ruin your nails.

Sorry for such a long post, but I like to ramble :) Look for a more detailed post about what's in my makeup bag in the next few weeks!

Friday, November 1, 2013

Well hello! I'm so excited to be starting this blog and sharing reviews of my favorite and not so favorite beauty products with y'all! From the 'y'all' in that last sentence, you can probably tell I'm from the south, love all things Georgia, and am watching CMT as I type this. I'll tell a little bit more about myself in the next post, so I won't bore you too much :)
I have a ton of products I recently purchased at ULTA, Target, Walmart, and Dollar Tree. Yep, I said it. DOLLAR TREE. Powder foundation that works great for $1?! Pics and reviews of these products will be up tomorrow or Sunday. Until then, stay beautiful! -Bailey
